“The 1317 Aberdeen Burgh Court Roll is a strangely shaped document at nearly two meters long and about twenty centimeters wide. There is considerable academic interest in the roll so Aberdeen City & Aberdeenshire Archives required a composite, high-resolution digital image that viewers would be able see in detail and navigate with ease. Given its dimensions and fragility, we knew it wouldn’t be the easiest item to digitise but we had worked with Workflo Solutions in the past and had trust in their procedures and ability to do a great job. We are incredibly pleased with the results which will enable much wider access to the document for academics and the research community”. – Phil Astley, City Archivist, 2022
